在这项回顾性研究中,研究人员收集了114例入院患者的首次临床实验室数据,以及80例健康对照。同时对1例重症患者从感染早期到恢复期共80天的血清脂质谱、COVID-19核酸及胸部CT扫描进行监测。

研究发现,与健康对照组相比,患者的总胆固醇、hdl -胆固醇和ldl -胆固醇浓度显著下降(P < 0.001)。重度组hdl -胆固醇浓度明显低于普通组[1.01 (0.88-1.20)vs 1.21 (1.02-1.48) mmol/l, P < 0.001]。1例重症患者血脂表现为早期血清胆固醇浓度明显下降,恢复期恢复正常。此外,该患者hdl -胆固醇的变化与核酸检测和胸部CT扫描结果一致。在相关分析中,hdl -胆固醇浓度与c反应蛋白呈负相关(CRP, r =−0.396,P < 0.001),与淋巴细胞呈正相关(r = 0.336, P < 0.001)。hdl -胆固醇的受试者工作特征曲线下面积(AUC)为0.732 (P < 0.001), hdl -胆固醇的调整奇数比(OR)为0.023 (95% CI 0.002-0.227)。

研究结果表明,血清hdl -胆固醇的降低与COVID-19感染的严重程度相关。
