此项研究共纳入30例HFpEF患者，并按1:1比率随机给予6周FES治疗或安慰治疗。受试者平均年龄69 ± 8岁，NYHA分类为II或III，平均射血分数为63 ± 6%。在基线和治疗完成后对6分钟步行距离、生活质量、抑郁症状、B型利钠肽、内皮功能和左室舒张功能进行评估。

结果显示，与安慰治疗相比，FES组受试者的6分钟步行距离（P=0.001）、堪萨斯城心肌病问卷评分（P=0.006）、明尼苏达生活质量调查表评分（P=0.017）、贝克抑郁问卷评分（P=0.015）、Zung抑郁量表评分（P=0.019）和内皮功能（P=0.002）均出现显著改善，B型利钠肽出现非显著性降低，并且二尖瓣E/e’比呈降低趋势（P=0.091）。
