我国人造红细胞研究标志性成果 ——“人造万用血”即将进入Ⅰ期临床研究阶段

7月19日,据科技日报报道,西北大学国家微检测工程技术研究中心和西安血氧生物技术有限公司血氧液研发团队历时20年研发的“人造万用血”已完成大鼠、犬和猴等全部动物实验,并通过国家权威新药安全性评价机构的评估:无临床意义的副反应,支持进入I期临床研究。

“人造血”创新药物的研发一直是国际关注的热点和难题。人类至今面临重大自然灾害、交通事故、临床大出血和战争等需要紧急输血救治时,常常因为血液不足甚至“血荒”而失去生命。血液替代品亦称“人红细胞代用品”,俗称“人造血”,是以动物血红蛋白为原料制备的国家Ⅰ类生物创新药。自2001年开始,该研究团队联合国内优势科研力量开展技术攻关,相继攻克了国际上同类产品存在的如何有效释氧、引起血管收缩及炎症反应等技术瓶颈。特别是2008年到2020年间,在国际上同类产品研究几乎停滞的情况下,他们汲取国内外经验,总结教训,坚持走自己的路,在国家“863计划”、重大新药创制、重点研发计划等重大专项和陕西省多年连续支持下,坚持不懈,取得了系列重大技术突破,创建了这一领域的主要核心技术,建成了国内唯一的中试生产线,建立了稳定、可控和完整的生产工艺及质量控制体系。该团队目前拥有包括血红蛋白纯化、病毒灭活、聚合技术、还原技术、贮存技术等国家发明专利17项,拥有完全自主知识产权。

团队负责人表示,该“人造万能血”具有无需配型、适合任何血型、随需随用、无病毒感染风险、可大规模制备、保存期长等特点,在因失血而处于生死关头时,能起到“生”与“死”之间桥梁作用。未来3到4年,这一将动物血“变”人血的硬科技颠覆性技术成果有望作为“突破性治疗药物”应用于临床,有效解决临床救治、重大灾害和战争发生时不同血型红细胞短缺问题。
