研究纳入了6个欧洲国家1239例患者。分析新鲜冰冻肿瘤标本的GATA2，TBX2，TBX3，ZIC4甲基化情况以及FGFR3，TERT，PIK3CA和RAS突变状态。使用Cox回归分析识别出与进展为肌层浸润疾病显着相关的因素。计算各亚组的进展率（PIR）。这些患者中，根据EAU NMIBC指南肿瘤进展风险进行评分后，276例患者为低风险，273例患者为中度风险，555例患者为高风险。57例患者进展为肌层浸润。在如此大的队列中进展患者数量有限的原因可能是过去二十年中治疗水平的提升。野生型FGFR3和GATA2，TBX3甲基化与进展显着相关。EAU高风险患者的进展率为4.25.在FGFR3突变状态和GATA2甲基化基础上，这一队列可重新分为良好组（PIR=0.86），中度组（PIR=4.32）和不良组（PIR=7.66）。
