J Alzheimers Dis:运动能促进大脑血液流动

当你快步走的时候,得到锻炼的不仅仅是你的腿和心脏,运动也会影响你的大脑。

步行速度是衡量全身体能、虚弱、储备和恢复力的核心指标,而步行速度与心肺功能、心血管死亡率和全因死亡率密切相关,同时也是长寿的有力标志。先前有研究显示,步行速度快的人感染新冠病毒的风险可降低2倍以上。

近日,来自德克萨斯大学西南大学(UTSW)医学中心研究团队领导的一项新研究表明,运动有助于改善老年大脑健康,让更多血液流向大脑。该结果发表在Journal of Alzheimer's Disease杂志上。

65岁以上人群中,大约有五分之一患有某种程度的轻度认知障碍,而大脑的轻微变化会影响记忆、决策或推理能力。在诸多情况下,认知障碍会发展为痴呆症以及阿尔茨海默病等。先前有研究证明,流入大脑的血液水平低于正常水平,并且通向大脑的血管变硬与认知障碍有关。虽然,有研究表明,有规律的有氧运动可以改善认知和记忆功能,但尚未确定运动与脑血流量之间是否存在相关性。

在这项研究中,研究人员跟踪了70名年龄在5580岁之间的男性和女性,他们被诊断出患有轻度认知障碍。参加者进行了认知检查,体能测验和脑磁共振成像(MRI)扫描。之后,随机分配到有氧运动计划或伸展运动计划,每周进行三到五次锻炼,每次锻炼30-40分钟,例如轻快步行,锻炼时间为期一年。研究人员在最初的4-6周内对参与者进行监督,并记录参与者的运动情况。

结果显示,48名参与者中,其中伸展组中为29名,有氧运动组中为19名。有氧运动组参与者颈部血管僵硬程度下降,流向大脑的总血流量增加,耗氧量增加的越多。伸展组参与者未发现这些测量值的变化。

尽管该研究没有发现记忆力或其他认知功能有任何显著变化,但研究人员表示,这可能是由于该试验的规模较小或时间较短。脑部血流的改变可以先于认知的改变。研究人员正在进行一项为期2年的大型研究,即运动与阿尔茨海默氏病的风险,以进一步研究运动与认知能力下降之间的联系。
