默克(Merck)、IAVI和印度血清研究所合作开发COVID-19单克隆抗体

德国制药公司默克(Merck KGaA)、非营利性科研组织IAVI和印度血清研究所合作开发了针对COVID-19的单克隆抗体(mAb)。

德国制药公司默克(Merck KGaA)、非营利性科研组织IAVI和印度血清研究所合作开发了针对COVID-19的单克隆抗体(mAb)。

非营利性科研组织IAVI的科学家负责从COVID-19患者的血液中鉴定出单克隆抗体。如果发现与合作伙伴共同开发的mAb在临床试验中是有效的,无论是作为单一抗体还是两种候选药物的潜在组合,Merck KGaA都将实现这些药物在发达国家的商业化,印度血清研究所将实现包括印度在内的中低收入国家的商业化。

根据IAVI与默克(Merck KGaA)和印度血清研究所的协议,将进行一项加速的临床前和临床研究计划,以评估用于治疗COVID-19的抗体。预计I期临床试验将于2021年初开始。

IAVI总裁兼首席执行官Mark Feinberg表示:“我们敏锐地意识到单克隆抗体治疗COVID-19的巨大潜力。我们希望这种合作关系将为全球患者提供单克隆抗体”。
