研究人员前瞻性的对130名诊断为SSNHL的患者进行了阈值均衡噪音(TEM)测试。所有的患者在SSNHL起始1个月内均接受了全身类固醇治疗和/或者鼓室内类固醇注射治疗。研究发现,使用TEN测试发现的SSNHL中一个或者多个DRs的总患病率为20.8%(27/130受试者),DR总的频率特异性患病率为6.7%(61/910 DRs)。尽管DRs(+)组与DR(-)组之间具有相似的纯音阈值。DRs(+)组的起始WRS与DRs(-)组相比明显更差(p=0.015)。另外,在多变量逻辑回归中,DRs的存在与听力恢复没有相关性,但是在多变量线性回归模型中与听力的获得程度显著相关(p=0.018)。

最后,研究人员指出,DRs的存在可以考虑作为SSNHL的不良预后因子,TEN测试有助于在临床中对SSNHL的预后评估。
