近日，一篇发表于国际杂志Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism上的研究论文中，来自加利福尼亚大学的研究者通过研究表示，喝甜味饮料可以抑制大脑中的皮质醇和应激反应，但加入阿斯巴甜的饮食饮料却不会有这种效应。

研究者Kevin D. Laugero博士表示，本文研究首次证实，高糖（非阿斯巴甜）饮品的消耗或许会帮助人们释放压力，我们关心的是心理或情绪的压力会诱发个体对糖类的习惯性过度消耗，同时也会放糖类对健康的有害影响，包括肥胖等。有数据显示全球大约35%的成年人以及17%的儿童都是肥胖患者，而糖类饮料比如苏打水和果汁和肥胖发病直接相关；有一半的美国人在每天的任何时段都会消耗含糖饮料。

本文中研究者进行的平行双盲饮食干预研究检测了含糖类和含阿斯巴甜的甜味饮料对参与者的影响，参与者为一组年龄在18至40岁间的19名女性个体，研究者指定8名个体进行含阿斯巴甜的甜味饮料的消耗，同时指定11名个体消耗含糖类的饮料；在历时12天的研究中，参与者在每天早中晚餐时都会饮用指定的饮料，同时参与者不被允许消耗其它含糖类的饮料，比如果汁等。

在研究千3.5天以及研究后，参与个体都会进行标准化的低糖类饮食的消耗；而在12天实验前以及实验后，参与者在数学测试后进行功能性的MRI扫描来获取其大脑的压力反应情况，同时参与者都需要提供唾液标本来测定其皮质醇的水平，皮质醇是由肾上腺产生，对于机体对压力的反应非常必要。

研究者发现，相比消耗阿斯巴甜饮料的女性而言，饮用含糖饮料的个体在进行数学测试时的皮质醇反应会下降，另外饮用含糖饮料的个体的海马体相比前者表现出了较强的活性，海马体是大脑中的关键部分，其参与记忆的形成以及对压力的敏感性反应。当机体处于压力状态下时海马体的活性会明显降低，当参与者饮用含糖饮料时这种反应会被抑制，该研究或可帮助揭示，当个体处于压力状态下时糖类如何正向地增强个体的食欲。

最后研究者表示，本文研究阐明了膳食习惯对个体的差异，这或可帮助解释为何某些人对于压力情况会反应不足，而有些人则反应过度；尽管抑制个体的压力感非常有意思，但其是对压力的一种正常反应，对于机体健康非常关键；研究者希望通过后期的研究可以更清晰地解析含糖饮料抑制机体压力反应的分子机制。
