乳腺癌在女性中排名第一,是这一性别的第二大死因。除了遗传因素外,环境也是导致这种疾病发生的原因之一,尽管相关因素尚不清楚。在后者中,微生物的影响是其中之一,因此,最近人们开始关注乳腺微生物群。我们推测乳腺癌的风险可能与乳腺/肠道微生物群的组成和功能有关,暴露于环境污染物(内分泌干扰物,EDCs)可能有助于改变这些微生物群。

我们描述了一项将在25至70岁的女性中进行的病例对照临床研究。病例将是被诊断为乳腺癌(I和II期)并进行手术干预的妇女。癌症前驱或晚期肿瘤阶段(转移),或在招募前3个月内接受过抗生素治疗或任何新辅助治疗的妇女将被排除在外。对照组将是手术干预的隆胸或缩小的妇女。有肿瘤、妇科或内分泌病史的女性,以及在招募前3个月内接受过抗生素治疗的女性也将被排除在外。血液、尿液、乳腺组织和粪便样本将被收集。我们将收集有关人体测量学、社会人口学、生育史、肿瘤特征和饮食习惯的数据。将对粪便和乳腺组织样本进行代谢组学研究。此外,还将对粪便和乳腺组织样本进行元基因组研究,以确定微生物群中的病毒、真菌、细菌和古菌种群。还将对血清、尿液和乳腺组织样本中的雌激素、雌激素代谢物和EDCs进行定量。
