我国首台重离子治癌装置将投入临床

日前,甘肃重离子医院在武威召开临床试验方案研讨会。中、德、日三国放疗专家、物理师以及中科院近代物理研究所科研人员共同参会,研讨重离子治疗肿瘤临床试验方案。甘肃重离子医院表示,重离子治癌临床试验计划今年10月开始。

甘肃重离子医院院长叶延程介绍,目前医院各种设备和配套设施已到位,重离子专用装置正在进行检测测试,计划年底投入运营。

即将投入使用的医用重离子加速器由中科院近物所研发,是我国首台自主知识产权的“重离子治癌”装置。该装置将重离子加速器的同步加速环从科学实验用的160米缩短到56.2米,达到国际先进水平。

中科院近物所“重离子治癌”装置2012年落户武威。使中国成为继美国、德国、日本之后第四个开展该研究的国家。与以往的加速器放射治疗技术相比,重离子具有独特的物理和生物优势,在治疗过程中对患者的正常组织辐射损伤轻、疗程短、治愈效率高。截至2015年10月,全球接受重离子治癌的人数为15297人。
