《科学美国人》:研究发现1/5新冠病毒感染者心脏受损

除肺部受损外,许多新冠患者还出现心脏问题——死于心脏骤停。感染新冠病毒可能会给心脏带来四五种形式的损害。

《科学美国人》月刊4月6日一篇文章称,虽然新冠流行病的焦点是呼吸系统问题和确保有足够的呼吸机,但前线的医生们正在努力解开一个新的医学谜团:除肺部受损外,许多新冠患者还出现心脏问题——死于心脏骤停。

文章称,随着更多数据来自中国、意大利以及华盛顿州和纽约州,越来越多的心脏专家开始相信,新冠病毒能够感染心肌。一项初步研究发现,每5个病人中就有一个心脏受损,甚至在没有呼吸窘迫迹象的病人中也会导致心力衰竭和死亡。

这可能会改变医生和医院对病人的看法,尤其是在患病初期。这还可能开辟抗击新冠疫情的第二条战线,即需要对之前有心脏问题的人采取新的预防措施,对设备提出新的需求,并最终为那些幸存下来但心脏受损的人制定新的治疗方案。

纽约市蒙蒂菲奥里卫生系统的心脏衰竭、心脏移植和机械辅助循环部门负责人乌尔里克·霍尔德说:“回答下面这个问题非常重要:他们的心脏是否受到这种病毒的影响,我们能否对此采取行动?”他说:“这最终可能挽救许多人的生命。”

文章指出,新出现的心脏问题是由这种病毒本身造成的,还是身体对其反应的副作用,这个问题已经成为争分夺秒地了解这种新疾病的医生们面临的一个重大未知数。

但西北大学范伯格医学院心脏病学教授罗伯特·博诺和其他许多心脏专家认为,感染新冠病毒可能会给心脏带来四五种形式的损害。他们说,有些病人可能会同时受到不止一种形式的影响。
