美国《科学·转化医学》杂志１１日发表的研究显示，一种小蛋白质药物有望用于治疗急性髓细胞白血病，目前已在美国进入临床试验阶段。

此前已有研究显示，如果ＭＤＭＸ和ＭＤＭ２两种基因过度表达，就会抑制抗癌基因ｐ５３的活性，从而导致某些癌症。但此前医学界研究的抗癌药物还局限于ＭＤＭ２抑制剂。

美国爱因斯坦医学院等机构的研究人员研发了一种可以同时抑制ＭＤＭＸ和ＭＤＭ２的新药，充分激活ｐ５３，使其发挥抗癌功效。这种新药属于订书肽。订书肽的螺旋结构更稳定，可以避免药物在到达靶点前被酶降解。

动物实验显示，这种新药可将移植了人类白血病细胞的小鼠的中位生存期从５０天延长到１５０天。约４０％的小鼠甚至被该药治愈，超过一年没有发病。

研究人员表示，新药不仅有望用于治疗急性髓细胞白血病，还有望用于治疗其他与ｐ５３相关的癌症。
