CELL:美国早期SARS-CoV-2流行期间的传播情况

通过耦合该基因组数据与国内和国际旅行模式,研究人员表明,早期SARS-CoV-2在康涅涅狄格州的传播很可能是由国内引进所驱动的。

新型冠状病毒SARS-CoV-2于2020年1月在美国西北太平洋地区首次被检测到,随后在3月初之前,COVID-19疫情在美国所有50个州爆发。

为了揭开SARS-CoV-2在美国境内的引入源和传播模式,研究人员从康涅狄格州早期报告的COVID-19患者中测序了9个病毒基因组。研究人员的系统发育分析将这些基因组中的大部分与来自华盛顿州的病毒放在一起。

通过耦合该基因组数据与国内和国际旅行模式,研究人员表明,早期SARS-CoV-2在康涅涅狄格州的传播很可能是由国内引进所驱动的。

此外,不管估计的联邦旅行限制的影响如何,到3月中旬,国内传入康涅狄格州的风险超过了国际传入的风险。

这项研究提供了SARS-CoV-2在美国境内广泛持续传播的证据,并强调了当地监测的迫切性。
