本研究利用10头猪模型进行BAE,选取小(100-300 μm; n = 5)或大(300-500 μm; n = 5)校准微球注入动脉中。9头猪作为对照急性虚假手术。在基线和每周(共16周)测量体重和快速血清胃饥饿素水平。利用免疫组织化学染色评价胃胃饥饿素表达细胞(GECs)并利用Wilcoxon等级秩和检验分析。

结果为,在利用小微球治疗的猪模型中,平均体重变化(106.9% ± 15.0)要明显低于対照组(131.9% ± 11.6) (P < .001)。胃底(14.8 ± 6.3 vs 25.0 ± 6.9, P < .001)、胃体(27.5 ± 12.3 vs 37.9 ± 11.8, P = .004)要明显低于対照组,而胃窦(28.2 ± 16.3 vs 24.3 ± 11.6, P = .84)和十二指肠(9.2 ± 3.8 vs 8.7 ± 2.9, P = .66)处并无显着性差异。大的微球进行BAE未能一直体重增加或抑制胃GEC。BAE手术猪模型胃饥饿素水平与对照组无统计学差异。1周后内镜检查对照组未发现溃疡,在小微球和大微球BAE治疗组溃疡数量分别为5/5和3/5。
