Biomaterials:新技术攻克心脏干细胞疗法的一大困难

研究人员一直试图解决保留心脏干细胞的问题,让这些细胞在它们应该呆的地方,呆足够长的时间,并让它们“安顿”下来,开始工作。在2010年,研究表明,将铁纳米颗粒附加在心脏干细胞上,并使用磁场,有可能将这些移植细胞保持在应该呆的地方。

现在Biomaterials杂志上最近发表的一项研究,科学家使用纳米粒子(来源于从FDA批准的贫血症药物Feraheme),来标记心脏干细胞,然后用磁铁引导细胞到达有心脏疾病大鼠的心脏。

研究发现,磁场显著提高细胞的保留时间和治疗效果。
