Equillium是一家临床阶段的生物技术公司，利用对免疫生物学的深刻理解来开发严重自身免疫疾病和炎性疾病的治疗手段，Equillium近日宣布已启动Itolizumab（EQ001）治疗狼疮性肾炎的EQUALIZE Ib期临床试验。此外，Equillium宣布与硅谷银行和牛津金融公司达成了一项协议，以获取不超过2000万美元的定期贷款。Equillium董事长兼首席执行官Daniel Bradbury说：“我们对短时间内取得的进展感到高兴，我们已经开始了itolizumab在狼疮性肾炎、不受控制的哮喘和急性移植物抗宿主病中的三项临床试验”。

狼疮性肾炎是指系统性红斑狼疮（SLE）合并双肾不同病理类型的免疫性损害，同时伴有明显肾脏损害临床表现的一种疾病。其发病与免疫复合物形成、免疫细胞和细胞因子等免疫异常有关。
