美国西奈山医学院的Lewis Silverman博士提出了一项名为“单独使用Rigosertib或与阿扎胞苷或与伏立诺他联合使用具有染色质修饰效应，且能够在表观遗传学上重编程髓增生异常综合征中的造血干细胞和祖细胞的研究”。该报告与正在进行的Rigosertib与阿扎胞苷联合使用的临床试验有关。在正在进行的I/II期临床研究的MDS患者中，初步结果显示总体反应率为76%。目前的报告描述了实验室研究的结果，该实验研究比较了由单一药物Rigosertib诱导的分子变化和Rigosertib与阿扎胞苷或伏立诺他联合使用引起的分子变化，阿扎胞苷和伏立诺他是两种FDA批准的针对表观遗传学靶点的药物。
