简要介绍：

1984年开始,美国外科医生Lichtenstein常规应用聚丙烯网片进行腹股沟疝修补手术,并在1989年提出"无张力"（tension-free）疝修补术的概念,并命名为Lichtenstein手术（李金斯坦手术）,同时指出:（1）腹股沟疝手术不能视为简单的手术,应由有经验的专科医生施行。（2）腹股沟疝手术可在局麻下进行。（3）腹股沟疝手术可进行"门诊"手术。这些先进的理念至今仍有重要的实际意义。
