AADC缺乏症是一种罕见的遗传性疾病，会引起广泛的衰弱症状。幼儿的正常运动发育（如头部控制、坐立和在帮助下行走）尤其受到影响。严重的AADC缺乏症与儿童期死亡的高风险有关。它还对患者及其家人和照顾者的生活质量产生重大影响。目前的治疗方法只能控制AADC的症状。对这种情况没有具体的治疗方法。
