本指南是应法国传染病协会（SPILF，Société de Pathologie Infectieuse de Langue Française）的要求于 2007 年制定的指南的更新版。它们旨在供所有护理脊柱椎间盘椎间盘感染 (DVI) 患者的医疗保健专业人员使用，无论是原生的还是器械性的。

它们包括诊断和管理 DVI 患者的证据和基于意见的建议。

ESR、PCT 和闪烁显像、无微生物鉴定的抗生素治疗（紧急情况除外）、如果 DVI 不复杂则治疗超过 6 周、脓毒症情况下脊柱接骨术的禁忌症以及长时间的背卧位不再进行DVI管理。

MRI 研究必须包括对整个脊柱的探查，其中至少有 2 个正交平面用于受影响的水平。如果血培养呈阴性，则必须进行多个椎间盘样本。推荐短期、适应性治疗和直接口服抗生素治疗或尽早从静脉内切换为口服抗生素治疗。应请脊柱专家会诊以评估脊柱稳定性。建议尽早抬高患者。
