2018年3月，美国放射肿瘤学会（ASTRO）发布了新的乳腺癌全乳放疗临床指南，该指南扩大了推荐接受加速治疗的患者人群，即被称为大分割放疗的患者群。 根据当前临床试验和大型队列研究提供的证据，新指南建议对于乳腺癌患者不论年龄大小，肿瘤分期和是否接受过化疗都应进行短程大分割全乳放疗。新指南取代了2011年发布的现有ASTRO WBI指南。
