About JAMA Pediatrics

JAMA Pediatrics is an international peer-reviewed journal and is the oldest continuously published pediatric journal in the United States, dating back to 1911. JAMA Pediatrics is a member of the JAMA Network, a consortium of peer-reviewed, general medical and specialty publications.

Journal Frequency and Access. JAMA Pediatrics is published online weekly, every Monday, and in 12 print/online issues per year. The journal receives more than 8.4 million annual article views and downloads. Without any author fees, all research articles are made free access online 12 months after publication on the website. In addition, the online version is freely available or nearly so to institutions in developing countries through the World Health Organization's HINARI program.

Editorial Information. The journal’s acceptance rate is 13%. The median time to first decision is 3 days, and 43 days with review. The Journal Impact Factor is 26.1, one of the highest ranking among pediatrics journals. All articles are published online first.
