The journal is highly selective yet broad in its coverage, publishing research from across the entire spectrum of the field, ranging from the basic biology of aging to the impact of aging on society. The journal aims to foster interactions among different areas of this diverse field of research and to promote new and exciting ideas within and beyond the research community, to enable synergy and maximize scientific and societal impact.

Online Publication

Nature Aging is an exclusively online publication. This format enables us to publish articles as soon as they are ready, thus benefiting authors by allowing earlier publication dates and giving readers access to accepted papers several weeks before they would appear in a print issue. Papers published online are definitive and may be altered only through the publication of an addendum or correction, so authors should make every effort to ensure that the page proofs are correct.

Content Types

We publish a variety of content types, including Articles, Resources and Technical Reports, as well as Reviews, Perspectives and News & Views.

Disciplines covered in the journal include, but are not limited to, the following:

Basic and clinical research

Genetics

Genomics, epigenetics, transcriptomics and proteomics

Bioinformatics, systems biology and big data

Molecular and cellular biology

Proteostasis

Senescence

Rejuvenation, repair and stem cells

Metabolism

Nutrition and aging

Reproductive aging

Longevity

Comparative aging

Translational and clinical research

Artificial intelligence and technology

New techniques and resources

Age-related diseases

Geroscience

Immunology and inflammaging

Rheumatology

Cardiovascular disorders

Cancer

Obesity

Diabetes

Dementia and neurodegenerative disorders

Sensory decline

Geriatric medicine

Psychiatry

Osteoporosis

Frailty

Sarcopenia

Health and social sciences

Public and global health

Physical, mental and social well-being

Gerontology

Public policy

Psychology

Sociology

Demography

Health economics

Healthcare systems

, tags=[ImpactFactorTagDto(id=1178, tagName=衰老, createdHits=6), ImpactFactorTagDto(id=1593, tagName=老年性痴呆, createdHits=2), ImpactFactorTagDto(id=8748, tagName=神经网络, createdHits=1), ImpactFactorTagDto(id=65692, tagName=学习和记忆, createdHits=1), ImpactFactorTagDto(id=19691, tagName=退行性病变, createdHits=1), ImpactFactorTagDto(id=103944, tagName=老年病学, createdHits=1), ImpactFactorTagDto(id=8821, tagName=抗衰老, createdHits=1)], citeScoreList=null, medsciIndexList=[GetImpactFactorMedsciIndexListResponse(year=2021, medsciHotlight=0.755), GetImpactFactorMedsciIndexListResponse(year=2022, medsciHotlight=16.419), GetImpactFactorMedsciIndexListResponse(year=2023, medsciHotlight=15.839), GetImpactFactorMedsciIndexListResponse(year=2024, medsciHotlight=16.15)], citeScoreGradeList=[], totalJcrAreaList=[], pmcUrl=https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nlmcatalog?term=2662-8465[ISSN], pubmedUrl=https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed?cmd=search&term=Nature Aging[ta], article_number=null, article_number_cn=null, earlyWarning=null, linkOutUrl=null, isJournalMember=false, unscrambleContent=null, dayViewCount=false, endexampletyle=暂无数据)
