美食提供我们心理慰藉,让心情由阴转晴。但如果经常性靠食物纾压,代表你可能无法分辨出真正的饥饿感,而是任由压力摆布你的食欲。

美食提供我们心理慰藉,让心情由阴转晴。但如果经常性靠食物纾压,代表你可能无法分辨出真正的饥饿感,而是任由压力摆布你的食欲。

因为心情不好和压力大,导致你一周大吃大喝好几次,长久下来将导致饮食失调,增加体重过重的风险,同时会冲击心理状态,这就是情绪性进食。

美国心理学协会调查,高达4成的人藉由吃来减压;其中有一半的人,每个星期吃的都是垃圾食物。

压力荷尔蒙 扰乱我们对饥饿的真实感受

根据哈佛大学的研究,短暂的压力会抑制食欲,但长期性压力则会刺激脑部分泌可体松,抑制胰岛素作用。糖分进不了细胞,此时细胞会自觉养分不足而发出饥饿讯号,刺激大脑提高摄取碳水化合物的欲望,同时蛋白质与醣类也会转化脂肪,增加体内脂肪量。

换言之,因为压力造成的饥饿感不是真的饿,而是情绪问题没有获得解决,但我们经常会被混淆。

真的饿,和靠吃来逃避压力,这两者之间是有差别的,当想吃就吃成为生活习惯,我们通常无法觉察自己出了什么问题。

如何分辨真饥饿,以及情绪性进食的差别?

来自于工作、财务、家庭关系、婚姻的压力,容易导致人藉由吃来逃避。研究指出,女性特别容易出现情绪性进食的行为,男性则是藉由喝酒和抽烟。

如何减少情绪性进食

除非你意识到压力的来源,否则藉由吃东西减压只会成为恶性循环,无法真正解决负面情绪的问题。我们有以下建议:

1、规律进食

照时间吃三餐,也能吃适量的零食。进餐时间不规律,容易吃下过量的食物。

一般来说,吃完上一餐之后的3小时之内,就会感到饥饿。

依照你的作息,订出规律的进餐时间,帮助你察觉什么是真正的饥饿感。

2、早点吃完晚餐 有助减重

有些人一天只吃2餐,以达到减重效果。

如果发现体重并未因此减少,应该就要考虑调整饮食方式。

一天还是吃3餐,尽量早一点吃完晚餐,控制体重的效果比较好。

以正面愉悦的情绪进餐,会直接影响消化系统的运作,减重的效果相对较好。

3、恢复均衡稳定的生活

因为情绪问题而进食,只会让你逃避失落感,产生我已经饱足的假象。

长期的情绪性进食,最终会影响生理,除了肥胖,还会引发慢性疾病。

找出压力来源,正视问题所在,让生活恢复均衡与稳定。

4、取代吃的活动

找出吃以外的其他活动,走路是最简单、容易实行的运动。

与好友相约走路,无论是散步、快走、在健身房走跑步机,连遛狗也可以。
