近日，国际糖尿病学杂志Diabetes 刊登了来自曼彻斯特大学David W. Ray研究小组的一项最新研究成果，他们发现在肥胖人群中，一种TLR信号负调控因子A20的表达与胰岛素敏感性呈明显相关性，并且在经过肥胖症治疗手术之后的个体中，A20的表达与血清中脂联素呈现明显的正相关性并伴随代谢和炎症的改善，该小组通过小鼠模型证明了A20对于脂联素发挥抗炎效应具有调控作用。

研究人员指出，脂联素是白色脂肪组织分泌产生的一种具有保护性的脂肪因子，除了以往大家所知的调节系统代谢功能，脂联素还具有直接的抗炎症功能。脂联素能够降低巨噬细胞的迁移，减少趋化因子的产生，同时脂联素还能够促进巨噬细胞向具有抗炎症功能的M2型极化，并钝化巨噬细胞对TLR信号通路的响应。

该小组利用核激素受体Reverbα敲除小鼠发现，在高脂饮食刺激下，敲除小鼠出现肥胖特征，伴随脂肪组织中M1型巨噬细胞浸润减少， 同时还发现脂联素增加并维持了胰岛素敏感性。研究人员进一步证实，脂联素对巨噬细胞和脂肪组织中炎症信号的抑制作用受到TLR负调控因子A20的调节，在Reverbα敲除小鼠脂肪组织中A20的表达得到增强。通过对肥胖人群的脂肪组织研究发现，A20表达与胰岛素敏感性呈明显相关性，在接受过肥胖症治疗手术的人群中，脂肪组织A20表达增加，同时伴随脂联素表达增加以及代谢水平和炎症水平的改善。
 
综上所述，该文章证明脂联素对脂肪组织炎症的抑制作用受到A20的调节，并且得到肥胖人群的相关研究证明，这为阐述炎症与肥胖的关系提供了一个新的靶标通路。
