Apexigen制药公司在美国癌症研究协会（AACR）年度会议上报告了其实验性药物APX005M在联合方案中治疗转移性胰腺癌的早期阳性数据。APX005M是靶向CD40的单克隆抗体。在Ib/ II期研究中，未接受过治疗的转移性胰腺导管腺癌患者接受了APX005M、吉西他滨和紫杉醇组成的标准化疗，其余受试者接受了nivolumab单抗的治疗。

这项中期分析的结果显示，24名患者中有20名患者的肿瘤组织缩小。Apexigen首席医疗官奥维德·特里芬说：“一些患者在接受治疗一年后仍在接受治疗，鉴于大多数转移性胰腺癌患者在开始一线化疗后约5个月内有癌症进展的证据，能够看到有几位患者在这项试验中停留一年以上是令人兴奋的”。
