日前,汤森路透(Thomson Reuters )旗下的 ScienceWatch 网站公布了《Who and What Was Hot in Scientific Research in 2012》报告,通过分析论文的引用次数为依据,盘点了2012年度最热门科学家(The hottest scientific researchers of 2012)以及最热门研究论文(The Hottest Papers)。

回顾2012科研热点,主要集中在:(1)上帝粒子;(2)基因组学与生物医学;(3)材料研究;(4)大数据研究 这四个方面。

2012年度最热门科学人物(The hottest scienti fic researchers of 2012)的排名主要依据“高引用率论文”的数量。以下为入围榜单:

在这份榜单中,基因组学领域研究人员占了相当大的一部分,其中最炙手可热的人物是华盛顿大学医学院的 Richard Wilson(15)。他领导的研究小组参与了***基因组计划,并在《自然》(Nature)杂志上发表了题为“A Map of Human Genome Variation from Population-scale Sequencing”的文章。Wilson在2010-2012年期间总共有15篇高引用率的文章。

大名鼎鼎的 Broad 研究院院长Eric Lander(13)也是榜上有名。他也是“A Map of Human Genome Variation from Population-scale Sequencing”的文章的作者之一,此外还有12篇高引用率的文章,包括卵巢癌、血液癌和脑癌等方面的基因组研究。

deCODE Genetics 的总裁 Kari Stefansson 卷土重来,在上一份报告跌出榜单之后今年又一跃成为最热门的科学家。他在2012年有13篇文章,聚焦帕金森氏病、精神分裂症和阿尔茨海默病的基因组研究。

华大基因研究院院长王俊也登上了这份榜单。他在去年发表了14篇高引用率的文章,也参与了***基因组计划。

除了这些赫赫有名的人物,今年也有一些新面孔上榜。华盛顿大学 Richard Wilson 团队中还有三人上榜,分别是 Elaine Mardis、丁莉 和 Robert Fulton。他们参与了***基因组计划,另外还有2篇文章跻身热门文章。密歇根大学的生物统计学 家Goncalo Abecasis 除参与***基因组计划外,近日也发表了一系列文章,报道糖尿病、体重指数(BMI)和心血管疾病风险的 GWAS 研究成果。

据介绍,丁莉博士成功领导了肺腺癌的基因组学研究,并鉴定出导致肺癌的关键基因和通路。她还与其他同事一起分析了一位白血病患者的肿瘤和皮肤基因组,这也是第一个完全测序并分析的癌症基因组。丁莉博士早前毕业于复旦大学。

值得一提的是,今年总共有6名华人学者上榜,除了上面提到的王俊博士和丁莉博士,还有中科院金属研究所研究员成会明博士、武汉理工大学的余家国教授、中科院化学研究所的李永舫博士,以及英国布鲁奈尔大学的王子栋教授。
