这篇研究的目的是为了评估壳聚糖作为牙髓治疗过程中抗菌制剂的效果。研究测试壳聚糖对标准菌株(ATCC29212)和临床分离的粪肠球菌的抑制活性。研究检测6种壳聚糖对ATCC29212的最小抗菌浓度(MBC),选择最高效的种类以进行后续实验。研究选取牙髓治疗的牙齿并提取和培养了4个临床分离物,通过生物化学分析以及聚合酶链式反应进行鉴定。研究采用时间终止分析法检测1,700和2,100 kDa壳聚糖刺激细菌1, 3, 5, 10和60分钟时的MBC,并将细菌接种于BHIA培养基上进行计数。结果显示,刺激10分钟,2种壳聚糖组存留细菌的数量(log colony forming units per millimeter, logCFUs/mL)均明显低于阴性对照组(0.1% acetic acid and BHI),并且在60分钟时所有菌株均被完全消灭。结论:结果显示,壳聚糖可以用来研发用于牙髓治疗过程中生物相容性好且具有抗菌效果的冲洗剂/药物。原始出处:Supotngarmkul A, Panichuttra A, et al.
