最近,有研究人员探索了PRMT1在AR发展中的相关机制。研究结果表明,PRMT1的表达在AR患者和AR小鼠的鼻黏膜中显著增加。与野生型(WT)小鼠相比,PRMT1+/- AR小鼠鼻粘膜的嗜酸性浸润程度降低。PRMT1单倍体不足降低了血清中HDM特异性免疫球蛋白的水平,以及AR小鼠鼻腔灌洗液中Th2(IL-4、IL-5和IL-13)和上皮(TSLP、IL-25和IL-33)细胞因子的水平。在鼻腔上皮细胞中,HDM和IL-4一起通过一种丝裂原激活蛋白激酶(MAPK)依赖性途径能够增强PRMT1的表达。此外,PRMT1对HDM和IL-4刺激下TSLP、IL-25和IL-33的产生至关重要。AMI-1治疗能够缓解小鼠模型中的AR。

最后,研究人员指出,PRMT1通过调节上皮源性细胞因子的产生,在AR的发展中起着重要作用,可能是AR的一个新的治疗靶点
