IL-7对T细胞发育至关重要，具有抗菌和抗肿瘤作用。通常认为IL-7是保护性免疫的关键促进因素。但是，目前尚缺乏结直肠手术后IL-7变化的数据。此外，机器人辅助手术应用逐渐增多，该手术对免疫反应影响的数据也不足。SCI REP近期发表了一篇文章研究这些问题。

作者分析了前瞻性研究中机器人手术和开腹手术后IL-7变化情况以及对术后免疫的影响。研究结果表明，术前IL-7水平低与出现手术部位感染有关。与之相反，术前IL-7水平高与免疫功能保护有关，包括：接受机器人手术患者淋巴细胞计数下降幅度减小，淋巴细胞变化/中性粒细胞变化比值增加等。其他细胞因子改变，如IL-12（p70），TNFα，干扰素γ和IL-10与IL-7改变有关。IL-7改变是干扰素γ改变的独立预测因素，干扰素γ是调节Th1免疫反应的关键因子。

文章最后认为，围手术期IL-7水平改变不同可能与机器人结直肠术后短期效果改善有关，包括手术部位感染率低，手术导致的淋巴细胞减少程度更轻以及干扰素γ的有益变化。
