使用递进式高葡萄糖钳夹技术测量15名2型糖尿病患者和15名非糖尿病个体接受恩格列净治疗2天后和更长期（14天）治疗后，肾对葡萄糖的重吸收。与非糖尿病个体相比，基线时，2型糖尿病患者具有显着性高的最大肾葡萄糖转运（Tmg）（459±53 vs 337±25mg/min；P＜0.05）。恩格列净治疗48小时分别可降低糖尿病和非糖尿病个体44±7和53±6%的TmG（P＜0.001）。第14天时，恩格列净进一步降低了两组的TmG（分别降低了65±5和75±3%）。恩格列净将2型糖尿病和非糖尿病患者葡萄糖溢出到尿液中的血浆葡萄糖浓度阈值降低到＜40mg/dL，该值低于正常空腹血糖浓度。

总之，恩格列净抑制钠-葡萄糖转运体-2可降低2型糖尿病和非糖尿病个体的Tmg和葡萄糖溢出到尿液中的阈值。

（专家点评：该研究从机制上对SGLT2类药物进行分析，发现恩格列进对2型糖尿病和非2型糖尿病患者都能增加肾脏排糖，并降低葡萄糖溢出阈值，这也可能是目前对于SGLT2类药物可能减肥的机制。）
