研究发现自医疗保险开始实施报销政策以来，LCS利用率呈稳定增长。

肺癌筛查（LCS）是降低肺癌死亡率的重要二级预防措施。这项研究旨在评估自2015年医疗保险开始实施LCS报销政策以来的3年内，美国老年人LCS的州级差异。

这项生态研究使用Kruskal-Wallis检验和聚类分析，分析了LCS利用密度与每1000名有偿服务（FFS）医疗保险受益人共享决策和咨询（SDMC）之间的关联，LCS利用率定义为低剂量计算机断层扫描（LDCT）的数量，SDMC来自医疗保险提供者的使用和付款数据：医师和其他供应商的公共使用文件，以及从多个公共可用数据源中获得的州级因素。

2017年，每1000名FFS受益人的LDCT利用密度中位数为3.32，SDMC为0.46，分别是2015年水平的24倍和13倍。从2015年到2017年，针对LCS收费的LDCT提供商数量从222家增加到3444家，SDMC从20家增加到523家。LDCT和SDMC的较高利用率往往集中在东北部和中西部州而不是西南部州。利用密度高的州并不是肺癌死亡率和/或吸烟率最高的州。

研究发现自医疗保险开始实施报销政策以来，LCS利用率呈稳定增长。美国各州的利用率及其增长各不相同，LDCT和SDMC之间也有所不同，这表明LCS以及肺癌死亡率高和吸烟流行的州具有巨大的增长潜力。
