最近,有研究人员详细地报道了螺旋韧带中,周期细胞的特性。研究包括了15只P6小鼠和6只噪声暴露的P28小鼠,并将这些小鼠为期7天的溴脲苷(BrdU)注射,并且研究人员搜寻了为期长达60天的BrdU保持细胞。免疫组化分析表明BrdU阳性IB4(一个内皮标记)阴性细胞表达了一个早期的SLF标记Pou3f4,但是对裂解的半胱天冬酶却没有该现象。标记研究表明,与其他亚型比较,类型3 SLFs展现出显著更高的BrdU+细胞比例。明显的是,细胞保留BrdU持续到P72,表明了它们分离的速度较慢。在噪声暴露的小鼠中,与其他类型的丢失不同,类型3 SLFs的数目并没有改变并且BrdU结合的磷酸化组蛋白H3阳性类型3细胞从声音暴露的第1天到第14天增加了。更多的是,细胞种植类型1区域,即受损后细胞深刻受损区域,类型3 SLF标记为阳性。总之,在耳蜗侧壁中,类型3 SLFs具有干细胞能力,并且也许导致了侧壁螺旋韧带的内源性再生。操纵类型3细胞也许在潜在的再生疗法中采用。

背景随着年龄的增加,人们并不知道人类颞骨耳蜗血管壁的厚度变化。 目的该研究的目的是比较螺旋动脉和血管纹毛细血管厚度,并探究是否发生老年性耳聋与颞骨血管纹萎缩和血流量减少的关系。设计该研究为回顾性病例对照研究,研究人员选取了明尼苏达大学采集的共1024例尸检报告。所选取的病例皆为60岁以上且发生感音神经性听力减退并逐渐加重的患者(实验组)。对照组患者未发生听力减退。所有患者都接受过纯音测试检查。参与
