此项研究共纳入45例同时伴有HFrEF和OSA的患者，并随机给予(22例)或不给予(23例)短期CAPA治疗。在CAPA治疗前和治疗后6～8周实施超声心动图和HED PET评估。计算心肌效率估计值工作代谢指数(WMI)，并利用HED保留指数计算突触前交感神经功能。

结果显示，与非CAPA组患者相比，CAPA组患者的HED保留指数显著升高(P=0.003)。两组患者的WMI无显著变化。然而，在OSA更为严重的患者中(呼吸暂停低通气指数>20/小时)，CPAP可显著升高WMI和收缩压(P<0.05)。
