英国一项研究表明，在置入起搏器的病态窦房结综合征(SSS)患者中晕厥较为常见，并且与死亡率升高具有相关性。论文于4月7日在线发表于《心脏》(Heart)。此项研究共纳入1415例平均年龄为72.9岁的SSS患者，并随机分入频率自适应单腔起搏器组(707例)或频率自适应双腔起搏器组(708例)。主要转归指标为患者自报的起搏器置入后晕厥和死亡率。平均随访时间为5.4年。结果显示，共有247例(

结果显示，共有247例(17.5%)患者在起搏器置入后出现晕厥，其中单腔和双腔起搏器组分别为135和112例。起搏器置入后晕厥的预测因素包括年龄0～39岁、年龄≥80岁、起搏器置入前晕厥、既往心梗、心衰和查尔森合并症指数升高。起搏器置入后出现晕厥者的死亡率高于未出现者(校正HR 1.6，P<0.001)。
