结果显示，能量摄入与胰岛素抵抗呈正相关。去除176名能量摄入不合理的参与者后（因为他们的能量摄入不代表习惯摄入量），能量摄入与胰岛素抵抗的相关性更为明显，并且与血糖和脂肪量指数相关。此外，能量密度也与胰岛素抵抗和脂肪量指数呈正相关。在相互校正的分析后，胰岛素抵抗与能量摄入仍具相关性，而与能量密度却无显著性相关。个人营养素摄入量与2型糖尿病风险标志物没有相关性。


胰岛素抵抗指数

研究发现，总能量摄入量较高与胰岛素抵抗程度升高具有明显的相关性，这可能有助于解释当前出现的儿童2型糖尿病风险。为了确定减少能量摄入，是否能对胰岛素抵抗和血糖水平产生持久、有利的改变，仍需要相关的研究。
