不能排除骨丧失也可因模型的其他因素所致，例如对结扎本身的免疫反应或重复结扎插入的创伤。因为所有纳入的试验都允许在结扎线上积累斑块，所以不能排除或评估由于其他因素导致的骨再吸收能力。
