研究报告者韦伯(Laura Webber)博士指出，鉴于肥胖的复杂性，联合国呼吁世界各国采取全民行动的措施来预防肥胖及其相关疾病。我们需要采取减少肥胖的政策，以避免人群过早死亡和缓解已负担过重的卫生系统的经济压力。目前，世界卫生组织(WHO)已实施了旨在指导各国通过宣传体力活动和健康饮食而减少肥胖的策略。
