15名健康受试者和15名单侧POAG患者参加了这项研究。此外，还进行了常规眼科检查，包括视力、前段检查、后段检查、眼压、具有电生理系统的mfVEP、RETI-port / Scan 21，以及使用自动Humphrey ZEISS HFA II 750i对周边视野的检查。

结果显示，在患者中，ΔMDs与Δamplitudes大于256 nV的异常点数之间存在强相关性（n = 15，r = 0.802，p <0.05），但平均灵敏度差异（ΔPSDs）和mfVEP参数未发现相关性。

因此，比较双眼的单眼mfVEP反应是检测单侧损伤的适当方法。实现更多的开发并使mfVEP测试更具功能性可以成为大多数眼病早期诊断的解决方案。
