JAMA Intern Med:40万人随访16年,植物蛋白代替部分动物蛋白可降低死亡率

总体死亡率降低主要归因于用植物蛋白替代鸡蛋蛋白(男性风险降低24%,女性降低21%)和红肉蛋白(男性风险降低13%,女性降低15%)。

虽然近来人们强调高蛋白饮食对整体健康的重要性,但我们对于植物蛋白和动物蛋白摄入量与长期病因死亡率之间的关系还不清楚。

最近,研究人员进行了一项研究,探究整体死亡率与植物蛋白和动物蛋白摄入量之间的关系。

这项前瞻性队列研究分析了美国国立卫生研究院-AARP饮食与健康研究中416104名男性和女性从1995年到2011年的数据。数据从2018年10月到2020年4月进行分析。

结果显示,最终分析的队列包括了植物蛋白和动物蛋白的摄入量,危害比和16年绝对风险差异。最终分析的队列包括了237 036名男性(57%)和179 068名女性。他们的总体年龄中位数(SD)为:男性62.2(5.4)岁,女性62.0(5.4)岁。

基于6009748人年的观察,研究人员分析了77 614例死亡病例(18.7%;49 297名男性和28 317名女性)。调整几个重要的临床和其他风险因素后,膳食植物蛋白摄入量增加与两性总死亡率降低相关。

在吸烟状态、糖尿病、水果消费、维生素补充剂使用和自我报告的健康状况等亚组中,植物蛋白摄入量与总死亡率之间的关联是相似的。用植物蛋白替代3%的动物蛋白能量与总体死亡率(男性和女性的风险均降低10%)和血管疾病死亡率(男性风险降低11%,女性风险降低12%)呈反比关系。

特别是,总体死亡率降低主要归因于用植物蛋白替代鸡蛋蛋白(男性风险降低24%,女性降低21%)和红肉蛋白(男性风险降低13%,女性降低15%)。

因此,在这个大型前瞻性队列中,较高的植物蛋白摄入量与总体和心血管疾病死亡率风险的小幅降低相关。该研究结果提供了证据,证明在蛋白质来源的选择上进行饮食调整可能会影响健康和长寿。
