研究认为，帕金森患者出现幻觉是由于大脑γ-氨基丁酸水平降低导致腹侧视觉流通路信号发生变化而造成的，通过药物干预等方式调节视皮层兴奋性有望改善患者视觉幻觉的症状

近日研究人员就帕金森(PD)患者幻觉产生与初级视觉皮层中γ-氨基丁酸(GABA)水平之间的关系进行了考察。

研究人员采用磁共振波谱法来研究36名PD患者枕骨GABA水平，其中19名患者存在复杂视觉幻觉症状，17人无症状。研究同时招募20名健康志愿者作为对照组，对所有参与者进行T1加权MRI、全脑fMRI和扩散张量成像考察。

研究发现，存在幻象症状的PD患者其GABA/肌酸比例较低，为0.091，而无幻象症状的PD患者以及对照组分别为0.101和0.099。PD幻觉组前颞叶灰质减少，白质完整性下降，但对于参与者认知功能进行校正后，组间白质完整性差异不显著。
