研究者Kevin Huang及其同事分析了过去很多相关研究的数据,此前的研究中均利用了不同的培养方法来诱导人类干细胞分化成为原始或初始状态的多能干细胞。利用最近发表的关于人类植入前胚胎基因表达特性的相关研究为基础,研究人员发现,培养条件的确会影响多能干细胞的基因表达,而新一代的培养方法或许会奏效。

通过对不同实验室的技术进行客观地评估,研究人员发现了一些方法或许可以作为复制干细胞原始状态的最佳选择,当细胞的培养环境同非人工环境匹配更加一致的时候,研究者或许就可以准确地反应人类胚胎发育的真实状况。

基于以上的研究发现,研究者Fan希望进行更多的调查研究来解析细胞的特性及分子标记物来帮助确定多能干细胞再生及增殖所用的培养条件的有效性。最后研究人员希望这项研究可以帮助更多的研究团体在定量控制人类多能性干细胞上达成共识。
