接受导管消融治疗的房颤患者常在消融后数月内反复发生心律失常。该研究旨在探讨房颤射频消融后早期预防性短期应用胺碘酮是否可以减少晚期复发。

该研究名为AMIO-CAT，是一项两中心、随机、双盲、安慰剂对照研究。研究者们随机纳入了212例接受导管消融治疗的房颤患者，并根据房颤类型(阵发性/永久性)和既往房颤消融史对其进行分层，将其随机分为射频消融后进行为期8周的胺碘酮或安慰剂治疗。

结果随访了6个月。根据意向治疗原则进行分析显示，研究者们可获得206例患者的主要终点事件，即3个月的消退期受试者出现房性快速心律失常持续时间>30 s。胺碘酮组和安慰剂组这一发生率分别为39%(42/107)和48%(48/99)(P= 0.18)。

在次要终点方面，胺碘酮组的房性快速心律失常相关住院率[比值比(RR)= 0.43，P= 0.006]和心脏电复律(RR= 0.36，P= 0.0004)显著降低。
