PNAS:阿奇霉素有助抑制胎儿脑细胞感染寨卡

美国研究人员11月29日发表最新报告说,寨卡病毒倾向于感染细胞膜表面带有一种特定蛋白的脑细胞,并发现阿奇霉素这种常用抗生素能抑制实验室培养的脑细胞感染寨卡病毒。

加利福尼亚大学旧金山分校研究人员在最新一期美国《国家科学院学报》网络版报告说,发育4到6个月的胎儿大脑中,寨卡病毒会优先感染含大量AXL蛋白的脑细胞。AXL蛋白位于细胞膜上,是寨卡病毒入侵细胞的突破口。

研究发现,胎儿的神经干细胞和祖细胞、小神经胶质细胞以及支持神经信号传导的星形胶质细胞都含有AXL蛋白,这些细胞更容易受到寨卡病毒侵袭。相比之下,缺乏AXL蛋白的细胞不易受到感染。

研究人员分析了美国已批准上市的2100多种药物,研究哪种药物能够抑制寨卡病毒的感染能力。结果显示,阿奇霉素能降低寨卡病毒在实验室培养脑细胞中的复制能力,减少对脑细胞的伤害。
