最新一期《风湿病年鉴》发表了我国学者在美国波士顿的一项研究。该研究的目的是在2个大型前瞻性队列（护士保健研究NHS和护士保健研究II，NHSII）中评估超重或肥胖与类风湿关节炎（RA）发生的关系。 作者对两项研究中共约21万女性进行随访，她们通过2年1次的问卷调查表提供生活方式、环境暴露及人体测量数据。评估时间变异及累积体重指数（WHO分类中，正常为18.5～25，超重为25.0～30.

最新一期《风湿病年鉴》发表了我国学者在美国波士顿的一项研究。该研究的目的是在2个大型前瞻性队列（护士保健研究NHS和护士保健研究II，NHSII）中评估超重或肥胖与类风湿关节炎（RA）发生的关系。

作者对两项研究中共约21万女性进行随访，她们通过2年1次的问卷调查表提供生活方式、环境暴露及人体测量数据。评估时间变异及累积体重指数（WHO分类中，正常为18.5～25，超重为25.0～30.0，肥胖为不小于30.0）与RA之间的关系。同时，作者对早年（55岁或更早诊断）RA的患者进行进一步分析。

研究最终确认了1181位RA新发病例（NHS有826例，NHSII有355例）。超重与肥胖女性存在总体RA风险增加的趋势。在55岁或更早诊断为RA的病例中，超重和肥胖的女性这种相关性更强。累计肥胖10年，增加早年RA发病风险37%。作者最终的结论是，超重和肥胖的女性，无论其血清阳性或阴性，RA的风险均增加，而早年RA的风险增高更加明显。
