美疾控中心呼吁加强应对寨卡：比想象可怕

据外媒11日报道，美国疾病控制与预防中心的官员说，寨卡病毒给美国带来的影响可能要比人们此前预测的还“可怕”。寨卡病毒不仅可能造成婴儿大脑的损坏，还会对成年人造成神经系统问题。

自去年从巴西爆发以来，寨卡病毒已经导致美洲数以千计婴儿的出生缺陷。这种病也被称为“小头症”。

来自美国疾病控制与预防中心的专家舒查特(Dr. Anne Schuchat)表示，一系列出生缺陷的问题都与寨卡病毒有关。

新生儿患上小头症后，他们的脑部就往往已经出现了永久性的损伤。

她还说，由蚊虫传播的寨卡病毒可能扩散到美国更多的州。

“目前来看，我们知道的一切都要比最先想象的可怕，” 舒查特表示。

今年早些时候，美国总统奥巴马要求国会批准18亿美元的紧急资金，用以寨卡病毒的防治与研究。

同时，美国还将使用抗击埃博拉留下的5.89亿美元，应对寨卡病毒的蔓延。

美国国立卫生研究院的专家法奇(Dr. Anthony Fauci)表示，美国现在需要更多的资金来对抗这些携带病毒的蚊虫，并需要更多的资金用于研究疫苗和治疗。

萨尔瓦多的孕妇们等待产前检查。萨尔瓦多呼吁国民在2018年前避免怀孕，以防止因感染寨卡病毒而导致婴儿患上小头症。

“当总统要求19亿美元时，我们(确实)需要19亿美元的资金。”他说，近期的研究发现，寨卡病毒还可能造成婴儿大脑的损坏。

他还补充说，对成人而言，近期还有报道指寨卡病毒会造成神经系统问题。

此前，美国疾控中心还宣布，由于寨卡病例在波多黎各每周都翻倍，该地区将得到3900万美元的紧急资助。

今年二月，美国德州的达拉斯报告了第一个本地感染的寨卡病例。不过，这起病例被指是通过性接触传播的，而非通过蚊虫叮咬。
