J Periodontol：重视牙周健康！重度牙周炎可影响代谢综合征的发生

代谢综合征（MS）是心血管事件发生的主要因素。目前对于MS的病因及诱因尚未明确。初步调查显示，感染和炎症或参与了MS的致病机制。本研究旨在探究重度牙周炎与MS之间的关联。

代谢综合征（MS）是心血管事件发生的主要因素。目前对于MS的病因及诱因尚未明确。初步调查显示，感染和炎症或参与了MS的致病机制。本研究旨在探究重度牙周炎与MS之间的关联。

采用横断面调查研究，共纳入了419名来自费拉迪圣安娜糖尿病及高血压治疗中心的研究对象。对其进行问卷调查，然后进行全身和口腔的临床检查，此外还进行一些实验室检测。根据不同的标准，对牙周炎及MS分别做出诊断。校正混杂因素后，采用Logistic回归分析牙周炎对MS的影响。

结果发现，牙周炎的患病率在34.61%至55.37%之间，这取决于本研究所使用的牙周炎的定义与分类，MS的患病率则在60.86%至67.06%之间。14.08%的牙周炎患者为重度牙周炎， 41.29%的牙周炎患者为中度牙周炎。校正年龄、性别、家庭密度、酒精摄入程度、吸烟以及心血管疾病后，发现重度牙周炎与MS的发生之间据有关联，OR=2.11，95% CI: [1.01 to 4.40]，p = 0.05。

总而言之，本研究表明，牙周炎与MS的发生有关，且MS的患病率与重度牙周炎相关。
