研究者对相关数据库进行了检索，并对符合纳入标准文献进行了分析。利用荟萃分析方法对MINOCA患者的患病率、危险因素和12个月预后进行了定量，并评估了该疾病的潜在病理生理学机制。

结果显示，MINOCA的患病率为6%，患者中位年龄为55岁，女性患者占40%。

与阻塞性冠状动脉疾病(MI-CAD)患者相比，MINOCA患者更有可能为女性并且更为年轻，高脂血症的可能性则较低，而其他危险因素则相似。

MINOCA患者的12个月全因死亡率低于MI-CAD患者(4.7%对6.7%)。MINOCA患者仅24%存在MRI典型心梗表现，33%伴有心肌炎，26%无显著异常，27%可诱导出冠脉痉挛，14%可检出血栓形成倾向性疾病。
