肺动脉高压是一种高致死率的极度恶性心血管疾病,大部分患者会在2~3年内死于心力衰竭。肺动脉高压病因复杂,临床尚无有效的治疗方法。

此次研究人员首次发现15-羟基二十四碳四烯酸等花生四烯酸代谢产物在调节肺血管功能中扮演至关重要的“角色”,并揭示了20-羟基二十四碳四烯酸参与肺动脉高压的发病过程。课题组还合成了更稳定的表氧二十四碳三烯酸衍生物,为肺动脉高压的新药开发提供了先导化合物,并首次确定了蛇床子素、芦丁等天然药物对肺动脉高压的作用及机制。

课题组还发现了肺动脉高压的关键靶点,并在转录水平阐明其基本病理过程的分子机制。

JACC:肺动脉去神经术或对药物反应不佳的IPAH有效
