尽管对可口食物的渴望是孕期的常见特征,且可能导致体重增加甚或肥胖,其神经生物学原理却仍不明确,其中部分原因在于难以在实验室中模拟这种行为。

202244日,西班牙巴塞罗那大学的研究人员在 Nature 子刊 Nature Metabolism 发表了题为:Food craving-like episodes during pregnancy are mediated by accumbal dopaminergic circuits 的研究论文。

这项小鼠研究表明,怀孕期间的食物渴望是由大脑奖励系统中的多巴胺信号驱动的。这些初步的研究结果还显示,这种饮食行为或对后代产生长期的代谢影响,这为了解妊娠相关的食物渴望的神经元基础带来了新启示。

研究团队设计了一个实验,使他们可以衡量怀孕小鼠的食物渴望类型为。作者揭示出妊娠会影响大脑的连接性,特别是多巴胺回路的组成部分,该回路参与对奖励性刺激的感知并驱动食物渴望类的行为。

被允许进行食物渴望类行为的怀孕小鼠产下的幼崽也会受到影响,与对照组相比,它们体重增加,且在成年后更易产生焦虑类行为和饮食失调。研究发现雄鼠比雌鼠更容易产生类似行为。
